“I grew up in Southern California in the 60s, and all I wanted to do was surf with my friends and do anything involved with art. Since then, painting, teaching and being near the ocean with my family, is how I spend my time. I am constantly working to be a better painter, teacher and father.”
During the last decade, Yeomans has worked to build a reputation and following as a respected regional artist. His work has received numerous awards, and benn exhibited at the Irvine Museum as well as other noted California art institutions. Among his awards is “Best Urban Landscape” at the California Art Club’s 97th Annual Gold Medal Exhibition (2008) and a commission for the Naval Hospital in San Diego giving recognition to the Wounded Warriors of our military.
He is an Artist Member of the California Art Club, a Signature Member of the Laguna Plein Air Painters Association, and he teaches painting at the La Jolla Athenaeum Art & Music Library.
